Q. Why do I need frequent carpet cleaning?
A. Health, aesthetics and maintenance. Carpets have been actually designed to “hide” dirt. If you clean it only after it gets really visibly dirty, the damage has already been done. Wearing down your carpet is easy; maintaining it in good condition for a long time is much more difficult.
Q. Can a dirty carpet affect chronic health conditions?
A. Definitely yes! If one of your family members suffers from allergies or asthma, a clean carpet is essential. Dirty carpets may aggravate your family member’s health condition, until sometimes you’ll just have to get rid of the carpet. The best and most recommended thing to do is to clean your carpets on a regular basis – vacuum your carpet twice a week and have a deep cleaning 4 times a year. The more regularly you clean your carpets, the less dirt and pet dander will be grounded into the base of the carpet. And let’s face it, when your carpet smells, your whole house does too!
Q. What are the health benefits of regular carpet cleaning?
A. Most people don’t realize what is hiding deep down within the fibers of their carpets, rugs, furniture, or even in their draperies and mattresses! Carpets may look clean but may still be a breeding ground for germs, bacteria, and other micro-organisms. Within your home’s carpets you not only have dust, dirt and grime, but a combination of additional things like odors, fleas from your pets, dead skin & hair and a variety of common household allergens that create a feeding frenzy for dust mites! There could also be a vast assortment of bacteria that can spread through your home like wildfire by way of simple human contact & movement. Typical vacuuming does not reduce fine particle levels. The most effective way to fully remove contaminates from your carpet is through hot water cleaning and extraction or “steam-cleaning”.
Q. How can regular carpet cleaning by a professional save me money?
A. Your carpet and furniture are property investments. Over time, carpets can become thin and dull due to heavy traffic and old age. Grease, tar, oil, etc. tracked in from kitchens, garages and driveways will do serious damage to your carpet fibers. If not properly and regularly cleaned, carpeting can easily require premature replacement. The single most effective defense against carpet wear is frequent cleaning on a regular basis.
Q: How long should my carpets take to dry?
A. Today’s modern truck mounted machines, if properly used, will allow the carpet to dry within 8 hours or less. (Atmospheric conditions can obviously affect the drying time). We use very powerful truck-mounted equipment which usually dries the carpet in just a few hours. Under ideal conditions, such as hot, dry summer days, and cold winter days with high indoor heat, carpets and upholstery can dry in as little as 2 to 3 hour.
