A little history…
Landex janitorial was started by Ken & Ruth Landon in 1974 to service the needs of a growing Southern Alberta commercial sector. In the beginning, it focused on janitorial and held many contracts in and around the Lethbridge area. (Including Banks, offices, medical clinics and hotels)
As business grew so did the opportunities for expansion. Over the years Landex branched out to provide floor refinishing and other specialty janitorial services to its customers. In 1994 the decision was made to provide complete building maintenance and a commercial hot water extraction unit for carpet cleaning was purchased.
Once the ‘Carpet Care’ commercial division was up and running, Landex expanded to provide residential carpet cleaning services. Contracts were established with a variety of property management companies to care for more than 1800 apartments in and around Southern Alberta.
As Ken neared retirement in 2009, a long-time associate and contractor, Alexander Desjardins assumed ownership of Landex Carpet/Janitorial Services and started to gear the business for future success.
Today the Landex team includes 16 employees and two carpet cleaning vans. We have expanded our services to janitorial maintenance contracts, exterior pressure washing, as well as window cleaning. Alexander and his team look forward to continued growth operating within Southern Alberta (Lethbridge and area) along with interior British Columbia ( Cranbrook and Creston regions) – always providing top notch service!
